WISE (Women In STEAM Entrepreneurs)

2024-1-FR02-KA220-YOU-000251118
About the Project:
WISE (Women In STEAM Entrepreneurs) addresses the persistent underrepresentation of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields by bridging the gap between awareness and actionable change. Aligned with the European Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 and the European Institute for Gender Equality goals, WISE focuses on empowering women through education and career opportunities in STEM to mitigate gender-based economic disparities.

Project Objectives:
The project aims to:
  1. Equip participants with the tools and infrastructure to transform awareness of gender inequality into concrete actions.
  2. Promote gender equality in STEM education and careers by fostering systemic change.
  3. Serve as a replicable model to inspire broader societal shifts towards inclusivity and equity in STEM.
Activities
To achieve its objectives, WISE will:
  • Develop resources that enable individuals and organizations to translate awareness into transformative actions.
  • Pilot these resources in real-world settings, including educational institutions, associations, and enterprises, to refine their effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the project’s impact by collecting and analyzing data on the resources' efficacy and outcomes.

Expected Results:
WISE will create a clear pathway from awareness to action, demonstrating a successful model for empowering women in STEM. This model is expected to inspire replication and expansion, driving long-term increases in female participation in STEM fields and contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society and economy.
